Jubilee Gathering 2017

During this past weekend many of the Sisters who entered the Daughters of Charity during the years 1956 – 1957 gathered together in St Catherine’s Provincial House Dunardagh, to celebrate their Diamond Jubilee. The sisters gathered from Ireland, England and Scotland and it was a joyous and memorable occasion.  Stories and remanences of the past were shared, as were joys, trials and experiences of so many years of service of God’s people in so many part of the world.

We congratulate the sisters who gathered: Sisters Louise Coughlan, Bernardine Crowley, Carmel Cussen, Josephine Flynn, Bernie Geary, Mary Teresa Keogh, Brigid O’Brien, Olivia Sherlock, Frances Broder, Nuala Dolan, Bernadette Fennessy, Miriam Flanagan, Gertrude Gormley, Josephine Hawes, Nora Lally, Winifred McGovern, Agnes McSweeney and Rita Yore.

We congratulate those sisters who could not be present on this occasion; Sisters Eileen Buckley, Patricia Harrison, Paula Kearon, Mary McGinty, Agnes McKeon, Raphael Stritch, Louise Callan and Sheila Lalor.

Some of the sisters who entered the Daughters of Charity some 60 years ago have since returned to God and are enjoying their eternal reward and we pray for them and ask them to pray for us – Sisters Celeste Bowe, Rose Harte, Maura Jackman, Bernadette McCormack, Anne McDermott, Anna McDonagh and Louise Steen.
